It’s been a while since I changed a poo nappy … or even an accidental poop in Luca’s “unders”.
Yes, Luca’s doing SO well! I’ll admit, we resorted to full blown bribery and corruption, offering gifts of Trashies as reward for poos in the toilet. Let’s just say he’s got a MONSTER collection of the little plastic collectables now! But it worked, and that’s all I’m worried about.
Now the accidents that we’ve had to clean up really seem minor and his accomplishments have shone through … and I’m so proud of my little boy each and every time he runs up to me (yes, even in public) and yells, “MOM! I NEED TO MAKE A POO!”
So, fellow potty-training mamas … do not despair. I really believed it would take us FOREVER to get this right, but in the greater scheme of things, it was nothing. It was a breeze! Support your little people and they will show you how “big” they can really be.
I remember potty training being a breeze too. Although if you ever speak to Exmi’s fiancé he will tell you a story about the time we were all at a party and Jackson did a fully grown man sized…

I can think of another story my good friend Bonnie told me when they were busy teaching their littlie, Blake, to “poo in his pottie”. They used to allow him to run around with no unders on and while they had friends over one evening for a braai he decided (while no one was watching) to make a poo on their thick, fluffy rug in the lounge … hahahahahah!
OMG!
