@MegPascoe and @CounterLove … if you live in Jo’burg, these two Twitter handles should be household names. If they’re not, clickety-click on those blue links and FOLLOW them – you won’t be disappointed!
Meg is the undisputed Queen of Brownies and owner of The Counter, which is “destined to be a beautiful deli in Johannesburg, we are slowly winning the hearts of everyone we meet. The Counter is run by two overly passionate foodies with a love for all things fresh, simple and tasty”. 

The Counter trades out of Market on Main which happens every Sunday from 10am to 3pm and the night market happens on the first Thursday of every month, from 7 to 11pm. We’ve been a couple of times, with the kids which isn’t the easiest at their ages, but it’s always worth it. Meg’s chocolate brownies, condensed-milk cookies, gourmet burgers and “sammiches” are a guaranteed hit … even Luca has given his stamp of approval, devouring his fair share of delectable Counter-goodness! Anyway, I digress … today is Meg’s birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGSIE!!!) and, being as divine as she is, she’s giving away a hamper FULL of Counter Love! A basket filled with The Counter’s sweetest specialities, including chocolate brownies, their famous salted caramel sauce, rocky road bars, coconut ice AND MORE!

Sound like heaven? Let’s just say that if this is what heaven holds, HOLD ME BACK!!!
