So, those of you who have followed my Donor Diaries will know that unfortunately my recipient’s (“S”) surrogate unfortunately didn’t fall pregnant after the first IVF cycle. Then, the short version of the long story is that there were a couple of frozen embryos saved from my first donation, which they were going to use for a second IVF cycle. S’s surrogate got sick around the time scheduled for this frozen cycle, and so they didn’t proceed.
S has, however, asked that I donate again for her, which I am happy, proud and honoured to do.
My fabulous Donor Family at Nurture have told me that, this time, I will donate through Vitalab. My first donation was through Medfem, which was phenomenal – the staff were warm, friendly and openly grateful for my contribution as a donor. I’m excited to “try out” Vitalab, as I’ve also heard great things about them.

I’ll have my first appointment soon … and I’ll be sure to keep you posted!
PS: If you’ve ever considered donating eggs, get hold of the amazing women at Nurture now. They’re ready and waiting to explain the process of applying for and becoming an egg donor. It’s really not a painful process at all … heck, I’m game for round two (and more!) so how bad can it be?

I am sure that you will be very happy with your treatment at Vitalab as well – those people hold a VERY special place in my heart (my son is a Vitalab baby after 6 IVF’s there).
I will be holding S and her surrogate in my prayers for a successful cycle this time round. I hope her arms will soon be filled with a delicious squishy of her own.
