Dee from Upsi Daisy sent me their Snuggle Pod to try out with my Mika-moo, who was 9 months old at the time I received the Snuggle Pod. Mika is, what they call, a late bloomer. At (now almost 10 months) 9 months old, he was sitting up, totally unsupported but making NO effort whatsoever at crawling. He was quite happy to sit, be carried or spend 20 minutes in his Tigger bouncy-thing. But not crawling. So, in my opinion, the perfect stage of babyhood for a product such as the Snuggle Pod.

At first sight of the Snuggle Pod, I wasn’t that he would be happy to sit still in it, that he would get irritated and want OUT. One morning, I needed to be up early and at work by 7am, which meant that I would either need to have the stealth of a triple-black-belt-ninja, so as to not wake him up whilst showering and getting ready for work, or risk having him wake up and then fashion safe places for him to sit on the bathroom floor while I went about my business morning routine. As Murphy would have it, as I attempted a silent sneak past his bedroom door to the bathroom, he must have heard the tiny squeak of a floor board and he was up. So I grabbed him, and the Snuggle Pod, and headed into the bathroom. I strapped him in (as shown in the picture above) and popped a bath toy into his little paws. He was comfortable, relaxed and didn’t complain once while I showered and got myself dressed and ready for work. Awesome!

Should you prefer a Snuggle pod made out of an alternative fabric to the denim, please advise and we’ll be happy to manufacture one in your very own choice of fabric.

I like the fact that we could buy a fleece top without the straps to use it as a “bean bag” as the boys get bigger, as well as the fact that the covers are removable and washable.
